Longing
This is what happens when you "let" accidents happen.
Going back to acrylics again after a while, I like how it turned out.
Acrylics on canvas 16x20.
Cosmic trance
Shiva - in the classic Nataraj pose, doing the tandav, creating the energy of destruction, bringing on the change.
Oil on canvas, this one's huge 24x36. Still a work in progress.

Rage
This is a scene from Mahabharata, made famous by the omnipresent painting where Arjun is trying to stop Krishna from breaking his vow, to not attack anyone in the war. Here He is angry and trying to attack Bhishma. I removed other elements from the picture to depict Krishna, the avatar, who in his rage forgets his self. Even gods fail.
Oil on canvas.
Ambition
'Inspired' painting, modified from the original, was practicing oils on a smaller canvas.
Oil on canvas.

Nirvana
Idea was to get the 'boodha' (as people call it :) disintegrate/integrate with 'music' - enlightenment through music - nirvana. Not so good an implementation of what I think was a better idea. But, there is one more thing that I need to do here, and then it should hopefully look better.
Acrylics on canvas 18x24. Still working on it.
Update - the one more thing was done.

The Blue Lotus
Started out as an imitation of Whistler's 'Rose & Silver', which I think stands for something. But who was a I kidding.. I couldn't handle the complexity and enormity of the original portrait. I filled the canvas, but there was no inspiration in it. So decided to redo it, with focus on 'rose' making her a 'lotus'.
She had a dragon,
She was blue.
Calm and still,
Her elegance, glew.
Acrylics on canvas 18x24.

Spidya

A sketch of spidey which was lying around my desk for a couple of months. Hurriedly colored over couple of more months in nothing-to-do times, using everything around, water colors, arcylics, pens and soft pastels. Today declared it finished... need to find a way to stay thick and complete things, all things.

Phantom of the Opera
Based on a piece from "Dreamscapes", here interpreted as the Phantom of the Opera. Sketched in Gimp. Painted in DeepPaint and ArtRage. Kudos to ArtRage, it is an accomplishment in simplicity!
